Criswell College is a protestant college in Old East Dallas, Texas. We were contracted to design the all of the Low-Voltage and Integrated Systems for the new Student Housing, the Mary L.A. Stanton and Lance E. Ouellette Resident Hall. The 5-story Lance’s Hall has 57 units and 109 beds. The Security and Access systems are simple yet robust. With cameras throughout the common areas and exterior, media systems for gathering and learning, as well as video access systems, the project is efficient and accommodating.

Being located in the East Dallas areas, it was imperative that the schools security teams would be able to monitor all comings and goings, day or night. Tying in the existing campus was a task that required quite a bit of creativity and ingenuity to accomplish. Across a busy city street into an pre-technology building was accomplished by performing a detailed discovery of the original property and planning a route through the auxiliary spaces of the building.

The property includes Broadband Services, Public WiFi, Tenant Managed Access Control, Sophisticated Self-monitoring Surveillance, A/V and Multimedia Systems, plus IP enabled utilities and exercise equipment.
